CS 0100 - Trends and Applications in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning |
This is an introductory level course targeted at learners who are interested in working in AI/ML fields, are looking to understand the value and contribution of AI/ML in various businesses or are looking to have an intuitive understanding of what AI/ML is and how they can venture into this interesting field. The course will explore topics within artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning as well as applications of these technologies in real life problems such as data mining, data analytics and natural language processing. Learners will discuss technologies that enable AI/ML to be utilized (i.e., Internet of Things (IoT), social media, e-commerce etc. and will look at ethical issues arising from the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and how AI will impact the future of work. The course will use short lectures, case studies and paper and pencil modelling of AI/ML techniques.
